Hi All,
Seeking out US based group tours (15-25 people) for 35+ that get it right. Interested specifically in Patagonia, but would love to hear tour companies that travel to South America, outer reaches of Europe and Asia also. Have had mostly 'ok' trips and seeking out ones that don't attract the 'mean girls' and the 'gripers'. Seems like the anonymous nature of the beast gives leeway to those who travel in 'packs' on the attack.
So much depends on the ground crew (who fulfill the promises you get from the US office before booking) and the experience and attention paid to the travelers. GeoX is very expensive these days...so hoping for suggestions that might include a slightly lower price tag.
Easy enough to plan a trip to Western Europe, but for experiences far afield (Asia, South America) would appreciate group tours that provide custom outings, low impact transportation (vs tour buses) and unique experiences.

Never used a tour group for my travels in South America. I would use my lodgings or local travel agents to book a la carte day tours. Even Patagonia. You can find a few trip reports for Patagonia on Fodors, and many for Peru.
Start with lastorres.com for an All-Inclusive option for Chilean Patagonia.

It does seem most tours groups cater either younger or skew older, (much older, LOL).

Ah I wish I could just do it myself! Language barrier and Patagonia visits are so difficult to pull together. If you have any good suggestions for English speaking local SA travel agents, I would be thrilled to get their names.

Actually English language fluency is fairly common in Chile. I assume you are wanting to visit the scenic part of Patagonia and not the flat plains. Patagonia is split between Chile and Argentina and it's relatively complex to do both sides in one trip due to border crossings. My experience is mainly on the Chilean side, to visit Torres del Paine since it is easier to fly from the west coast to Santiago and onward to Punta Arenas.

Beyond that, if you want to spend more, look at Explora. Either one should have packages that include transfers from the main airport at Punta Arenas.
