Input on 2 Montreal Hotels
Need some input -- we have the opportunity to go to Montreal at the end of July. And we have the opportunity to stay at a couple of hotels at a fairly significant discount -- Hotel William Gray or Hotel Omni Mont Royal. Is one better than the other? The rooms at the William Gray look quite small but it gets very good reviews. Is one location better than the other? Is there a clear cut winner?

I have no idea although I live in Montreal.
Hotel William Gray is in Old Montreal. The most historic but also the most touristy part of the city.
Hotel Omni Mount Royal is in the business district. Walkable to Mount Royal Park though.
Both are in great areas imho. If it's your first time to Montreal, I would go with Hotel William Gray .
Hotel Omni Mount Royal has much more car traffic and Hotel William Gray has much more pedestrian traffic around it.
