I'm hoping you guys can help. Looking to rent a really nice beach house for our 20th anniversary.

Here is what we are looking to do:

• Walking distance to the beach
• Access to a pool (doesn't have to be private)
• Access to good restaurants
• Under 12 hour flight from the east coast (NYC/Philadelphia)
• 3 bedrooms AirBnB/Vrbo for $500 a night or less
• Family friendly - bringing three teenage boys but everyone just wants to relax

We have looked at Mexico, Costa Tropical/Spain, Costa Rica, Nice, Amalfi Coast, Portugal, Puerto Rico, islands in the Caribbean, Sardinia,.

I honestly don't know where to focus.
Where would you go?

Welcome to Fodors. My goodness - your options are just about limitless since under a 12 hour flight could reach anywhere in the western Hemisphere, Hawaii, Europe, much of Africa.

When is the trip? Time of year makes a very big difference for many locations.

Thanks so much for the response. Yes, its a very wide net but we'd like to go somewhere special. We just did London/Paris recently and did a city touring vacation but this time we want to be more relaxed and take in a local beach spot - relax on a beach, eat some good meals.

We are thinking about April or June of 2025. We could go into July but it starts getting very hot and crowded and we don't love either of those things.
