There are reasonable flights to Liberia airport for January. Thoughts on a one week stay in that area for a 70s couple who have been to the country 20 years ago and would love to return, enjoy snorkeling, light hiking, the beach and would want to stay in one moderately priced location?

This is on the other side - the Caribbean side - which is like the pacific side from 20 years ago - Samasati Retreat Center .. they have a holiday retreat from the 27th.

We went earlier this year for a retreat and it was wonderful. it is a more peaceful vibe in nature. for us it was like the hawaii of central america where we went for our honemoon.

We like to go to Manuel Antonio for beach time because that area is more lush and green and has a lot of wildlife. Have not explored the northern beaches yet.
