Been following this story all day. The ATC recordings are amazing - the captain/first officer were so calm. So far the assumption is alcohol was involved. His career and life in general are over . . .

. . . He was dead heading Sunday down to SFO on Horizon to pilot a mainline Alaska flight Sunday night. He would have been responsible for 200+ passengers and crew - one can only imagine.

As someone mentioned earlier, life as he knew it is behind him. I'm glad they caught him before he was able to actually hurt people.

One wonders if this was the scenario with the mysterious Malaysian flight that disappeared a few years ago. Could that pilot or one of his colleagues, have engineered that tragic disappearance?
