Best hotel at/near Canada Place

I'm looking to book a hotel for post-cruise next August at or near the cruise port. Which is best, Pan Pacific, Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Pacific Rim? Our priorities are proximity to the Canada Place cruise port, king-sized bed, view, pleasant area to walk with nearby attractions, and free WIFI. Thanks in advance for any insights from personal experience.

I haven't stayed at any of them but I work nearby.

The Pan Pacific sits literally on top of the cruise ship terminal and shares its lobby with a convention center. The lobby area feels a bit cavernous and a relic from Expo 86. Out front is a busy taxi stand, a tour bus pick-up drop-off area, and a plaza where hundreds of tourists mill about along with convention goers. During the pandemic, they laid off their long-term staff and hired new people and there have been complaints that service isn't as good as it used to be.

The Fairmont Waterfront is literally across the street from the Pan Pacific. You can jaywalk across the street and be at Canada Place in 20 seconds. The Pan Pacific is the actual waterfront hotel while the Waterfront hotel's waterfront views are tecyhnically obscured by the Pan Pacific and Canada Place, which are in between the Waterfront hotel and the water. This hotel is a very traditional building - it doesn't stand out, but the service is top notch.

The Fairmont Pacific Rim is the sexier more contemporary hotel a 5 minute walk west of Canada Place and the Fairmont Waterfront. It feels rich and expensive. There are always a fleet of expensive cars out front. The lobby has a real vibrant cocktail lounge, often with live music playing. There is contemporary artwork and a certain post modern feel to this hotel that the other two don't have. It feels new because it is. It was built in 2009 or so. The other two are from the early 80s.

All three are basically the same area.

You're welcome!

Another thought is to do a Google Street View virtual walk-through.

Here's the Pan Pacific Hotel (on the left) and Fairmont Waterfront Hotel (on the right, with its ARC restaurant visible): https://goo.gl/maps/9bJimWrBLjSkjZBA9

I have stayed at the Fairmont Pacific Rim and it was lovely. A friend from Australia recently stayed there before and after her Alaskan cruise and she was very happy with it.
