Thoughts on our finalized itinerary for Cape Breton?We decided to focus on Cape Breton this time and focus on mainland Nova Scotia on another trip. I'd love to get your thoughts and possibly a few suggestions of not to miss sights, restaurants, etc. We don't hike but we love taking in the sights, finding great restaurants, doing a little shopping, swimming, and just wandering around, exploring. No whale watches though - seasick.

Day 1: Pictou (Have dinner and relax after the long drive from the States.)

Day 2: Pictou: Maybe visit Waterside Beach Provincial Park and Lighthouse Beach. Not sure what else. Day 3-5: Baddeck (day trip to Iona to see the Highland Village and Louisbourg to see the fortress. Maybe go to the Louisbourg Playhouse to see a show. Visit the Alexander Graham Bell museum. Explore Baddeck and Bras d'Or Lake. Hopefully find a Ceilidh. Boat cruise if brave enough &#128578

Day 5: Go counter clockwise around the Cabot Trail. Maybe stop at Ingonish Beach on the way to Cheticamp. Maybe go on the gondola in Ingonish. Not sure what else to see or do.

Day 6-8: Cheticamp (Skyline Trail and explore Cheticamp. Find a Ceilidh, hopefully.)

Day 9-11 Mabou (Explore Mabou and maybe Margaree area, but not sure what/where, exactly. Go to the Red Shoe Pub in Mabou. Visit Inverness Beach and West Mabou Beach. Not sure what else.)

Day 11: Visit the Celtic Interpretive Music Center in Judique before going back to Pictou.

Day 12: One last night in Pictou before driving home to the States.
