Where to go 30th birthday?

I'm looking to take my husband someplace for his 30th birthday.
Here's the specifications-
We live in NC
Want to go on this trip only for a couple of days (we're going on another trip two weeks from his b-day). I'm thinking leave Sunday, come back Wednesday.
Nothing too expensive
Want somewhere with good nightlive.

Another vote for New Orleans. Quick flights from NC. Nonstop from Charlotte, at least. Vegas is a long haul for a couple of days.

Newport RI is a great place to go for a few days. It's not a long flight from NC and the weather is great in June (about 75-80). The nightlife is great also. Thames Street in Newport is about a 1 mile stretch of restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. There's also the mansions, beaches, shopping, etc.....Enjoy!

NEW ORLEANS !!!
Great food,
Great Nightlife,
Great Music,
Great Culture,
Great People,
Interesting places to see. This is a real city, nothing is fake like disney etc.... People actually live in the areas that the tourists visit.
