Grand Canyon to Lake Powell too far?

We will be travelling to the GC in August. Are we squeezing too much in? Our time share is in Sedona and we don't want to just use two of the seven nights we have there so this is what we have come up with.
Sedona two nights
South Rim Grand canyon 1 night
Lake Powell Wawhwap Marina two nights
Back to Sedona two nights.
Would appreciate experienced feedback.

Your planning is OK. Takes about 3 hours to drive from Sedona to South Rim, 130 miles, via Flagstaff, #180 and #64. From the South Rim to Lake Powell you drive 64 down to Cameron, turn north and drive to Page. Wahweap is just a few miles farther, across Glen Canyon Dam, just into Utah. Hope you take the lake boat to Rainbow Bridge; it's about a two-hour trip each way. Leaves around noon. Check with the Wahweap Lodge; boat leaves from their landing. If you wish, you could drive from Lake Powell to Monument Valley and drive back to Sedona late the same day, via Kayenta, Tuba City, Cameron, and down to I-40 to Flagstaff, then 89A down to Sedona. About five hours.

Thanks all. I just hope we are not spending to much time in the car each day. That is great if we can make it back to Sedona in five hours. So it must take three from the SC to Page. We are renting a power boat rather then taking the tour, heard it can be very hot and the tour does not allow you to swim. With an 11 and 13 year old we will need to cool off. There are several area to rent the boats although wahweap seems the most expensive I am wondering if it is you get what you pay for type thing.

Judy: I did not realize there were several areas to rent powerboats on Lake Powell. We'll be staying at the Wahweap and I just went ahead & reserved with them. Perhaps there are wave runners for rental also at different docks?
What other boat rental facilities have you found? Just curious.
Thanks, Tricia
