Bus from New Haven-Boston
My friend and i would like to catch the Peter Pan bus from New Haven to Boston on Monday morning during our spring break. I checked the web-site that seats are not guaranteed even if we purchase our tickets beforehand. What are our chances of getting seats, considering that the bus would have come from New York? Thanks !!

The buses depart every hour or so, I suggest you get to the terminal early. Most likely you will get a seat. You might call Peter Pan to ask what the past history is.
Have you considered the train from New Haven. Both the trains and the buses arrive at South Station.

I didn't think that the train cost that much -- wow is that expensive. Even your quoted bus fare is expensive, as Peter Pan and Greyhound are having $20 one way specials from Boston to NYC -- there are some specific hours though -- not during rush hour, but that's when I would travel.

Chie - Just checked at the Amtrack site and it is $184 for two from New Haven to South Station. There is also a special that you pay for only one fare, companion fare is free. The special is only until the end of March I believe. Call Amtrack or check out their site. The price you quote must be for the Acela high speed train.
