Bellagio is NOT kid friendly, so that should answer your question right there!

Bellagio is a beautiful hotel but not really for kids. If you werent traveling with them I would choose Bellagio in a heartbeat.

Paris is a better alternative between the two of them but it all depends on the ages of your kids.

Bellagio is an awesome hotel. In my opinion, it's the best in Vegas. As others have stated, however, it's not the most friendly to kids.

Paris is a great hotel. Get a room looking toward the Bellagio and you can watch the water show right from your room - every 20 minutes whether you want to or not! And believe me, it is a little loud. But that said, for the price difference and given that you are travelling with kids I'd choose Paris. It's really very top rate.

I agree-we had a fantastic experience at Paris-except for the restaurants which are pricey...but you can just go next door to Alladin-shop and eat at numerous awesome restaurants...have fun! I'm jealous!

Bellagio is wonderful but please stay there when it's just you and the wife. Your kids would probably appreciate the Paris hotel more so than Bellagio. Now I have a question for you, would you please tell me where you found those terrific rates? I've been searching my little nookies off. Please share. R.

Mike, your rates are $140 at the Bellagio for when? My husband just booked with them for the end of March for $129 a night.

Thanks Mike~ we will be there at the end of March,we got reservations for dinner at Circo, which even if you stay somewhere else, I do recommend!..I have never stayed at Paris, but go to LV often.I (as you can see)would recommend the Bellagio if you were alone, but there are never any children there, then I read last night that they do not allow kids in the casino parts, that they are really not child friendly at all,as a matter of fact, Bellagio recommends families going to another hotel!I have never been inside a Paris hotel room, but the lobbys, and casino part are nice, there are a couple of nice restaurants, it is connected to Ballys, and across the street from Bellagio, so it is in a good spot..whatever you do~ Have fun and Good Luck!c

That's a misleading (or wrong) set of comments, c.
Bellagio most certainly allows kids.
But they must be with parents while in the public areas.
ALL casinos forbid kids in the "casino parts" as you call them. That's state law.
Bellagio definitely does NOT recommend that families stay elsewhere.
True, it is not an environment welcoming of children. But if kids are well behaved, no one at Bellagio will mind their presence at the pools, in the lobby, etc as long as they're accompanied.

On the other hand, I'd never take my kids to LV to begin with. And we always stay at Bellagio. But that's our choice, not because the hotel dictates this.

Renee, I got my info from reading Fodors Las Vegas site.
>" Parents take note: Children under 18 are only allowed on the property if they're staying at the hotel, and families with children are encouraged to find lodging elsewhere. "
Perhaps I was not clear in my quote, but here it is from the source.

I agree that Bellagio does not encourage young families to stay there.
And there are always kids at Bellagio whenever we're there, but nothing like Excalibur or Circus Circus, of course.
The quote you copied, about Bellagio encouraging families to look elsewhere, I suspect, is a subjective interpretation of the situation.
You can check Bellagio's own website, where they detail their "under 18 policy". If you're going there to spend money, and you have kids, Bellagio will be happy to register you.

It is my birthday and my husband surprised me with the trip..we have stayed there before and have seen some children but they are usually on the way out of the hotel, never standing around. That is one of the pleasures of th Bellagio, since I don't have to deal with small children anymore myself
I believe that we got such a good rate because my husband does spend some money there and we use most of their restaurants.I am curious about our room, high floor overlooking the pool, I did not want to hear the fountains booming all night, know about that by any chance? Thanks,C

The fountains do not "boom" all night. I think the last show is at 11 or 12, at the latest. We've stayed several times and find the fountain view part of the allure of the hotel.

You might just make the sure that "overlooking the pool" doesn't mean overlooking the interstate, as well.

If you have a view of the pool you have a view of the interstate also.
Using PR terminology, these are "mountain view" rooms.
