Keys - Sea Isle & Parmer's

We're booked for 2 days at Sea Isle in Islamorada and 2 days at Parmer's Place in Big Pine Key - and I was wondering if any of you had any personal experience with either of these. I've seen recommendations for both, but was hoping someone could elaborate.
Best Regards, Amy

Not familiar with Sea Isle. However, we've stayed at Parmer's Place, and it's a delight! Nice rooms, pleasant ambiance and decent price. Doubt you'll go wrong there.

When I lived in the Keys I got a room at Parmer's Place for a lawyer friend of ours. He's a sort of upscale guy but had a good experience at Parmer's. The people there go out of their way to please. I think the resort has upgraded since then but I've only heard good things about it. Did you visit their web site?

Thanks for the replies - I did look at their web site, not as in-depth as some others, plus web sites can make just about any place look good, so I was looking for some reassurances. The people at Parmer's Place were very helpful when we called to book, and we settled on a one bedroom w/ kitchen and screened in porch. No water views, but I'm thinking we won't be spending a lot of time in the room anyway. As for Sea Isle, we booked a beachfront one bedroom cottage for two nights, and they have a great looking website (lots of pictures). My favorite web sites have the locations of the units on a map, and layouts of the rooms - but those are few and far between. Since its our 10 year anniversary, we wanted some place nice, without breaking the bank (see Cheeca Lodge/Little Palm/Hawks Cay). This way we have more money to spend on a nice dinner or two!
Thanks again for the assistance - Amy

don't worry about no water view. Everywhere you go in the keys you have water & that's one thing that makes it so great. P.S> a little past Parmer's on US1 are 2 fab restaurants: mangrove mama's on Sugarloaf (MM23) and Monte's seafood on Summerland (MM25). (Hope mangrove mama's is still there.)

Jamie - thanks again - I've seen Mangrove Mama's mentioned favorably elsewhere, so we'll be sure to check it out. Any dining suggestions for that special 10th annivesary? We'll be in Islamorada that night.... It appears that there are at least two good restaurants nearby, but if anyone has a personal rec, that would be great. I'm thinking good food, good wine list, not too formal, beautiful view as a bonus...

Mangrove Mama's is still there, at about MM20, and it's still great. For those of you who haven't been there, don't expect matching furniture, plates, or even silverware - but DO expect some of the best food in the Keys!

I am booked for Sea Isle for the end of april-may. It looks great for the money. anyone have any more input on it. It is also known as The Caribbean Resort at Sea Isle. if money is not a problem,Parmers seems to be the place everyone on this site recommends. I trust this sit immensely and use it often. Congratulations on you Anniversary. We will be celebrating 34 in Sept.
