We are planning a 12 day trip in August from St. Louis, MO with the end destination being Idaho. Short, I know, but it's all we have. Tentative plan is drive straight through to CO, spend two nights there, then to Arches(spend one night here) and then maybe to Sawtooth Mountains. We want to see some hot springs, go white water rafting and do some hiking. Would like to be on the water when camping- river or lake. Will be camping and staying in cheap motels just depending on where we are. I'd like some advice on some favorite spots along this route, or anything maybe better than what I've listed. Don't want to detour too much, because we won't have the time.
