Nonstop from Philly for Xmas and no jetskis
Can someone suggest a romantic couples resort in the Carib for a few days around Christmas that does NOT require all-day travel to get there, and has a gorgeous beach suitable for serious swimming WITHOUT jetskis and other commercial noise? We're looking for something like Maroma, a real escape, but they require long stays during Christmas. We like Bucuti but it has jetskis and boats all day long. So many great places (e.g., Anguilla) require long stopovers or have very inconvenient flights from Philadelphia, and we only have 3-4 days for this trip. Thanks for any help.

Compas Point on Nassau might work. It's a quick flight and the resort although on New Providence feels more like an outisland, since it is on the eastern side of the island.

A really easy flight from Philly is Bermuda. It's only about 2 hours and there are flights daily. It's a perfect location for a quick trip (we just got back from there over Memorial Day weekend). You get there so quickly you barely remember that you were in the US just that morning!
A great resort is the Fairmont Southampton Princess. The only thing I'd caution is that Bermuda likely won't be as hot as other Caribbean destinations.

While Bermuda may be the quick flight you're looking for, I don't think it will be warm enough for any kind of tropical feeling. I spent Christmas in Bermuda last year and most days required sweaters and long pants.
I think you may also find that most resorts require a minimum 7 day stay during Christmas/New Year at HIGHLY elevated rates.
Based on your screen name, maybe you should look into Key West or other Florida resorts.
Good luck !

My first thought is Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia - USair flies direct. But with only 3-4 days, its going to be hard to find non-stops in both directions - many run only on Saturday/Sunday. Suggest you look into Puerto Rico. Also check with Apple vacations, they have a lot of charter flights from Philly.
