Not trying to be a bummer, but can you cancel and go to Negril instead? Might be enough time. I have been to Montego Bay, and while the All Inclusive's were great, I found I did not leave the resort at all. Also, Mo Bay is a city, and I found that at night it was not the safest city I have ever been to (not the worst city either though!) Negril is paradise. Laid back, country style living. Boutique cheap hotels, great retaurants, 7 mile beach and 3 miles of cliffs, plus the best sunset in the world. Just a thought.
Definitely go on a Mayfield Falls river hike, close to Mo Bay and Negril. It is a great expereince.
Let me know if you have any questions about Negril too

Breezes is an AI but it is right on the Hip Strip and Doctor's Cave beach, so it's actually quite safe and easy to get out and about on foot.
What are your interests? There's tubing, rafting, boat trips, zip lining, scuba, snorkeling, hiking, great houses, sightseeing by car.....

We stayed in MoBay and would stay there again. There are forest canopy tours that turn beach potatoes into instant Tarzans, there's deep-Sea Fishing if you go just 15 minutes from shore, the coral reefs teem with marlin, wahoo, billfish, tuna, and dolphinfish. You can charter a fishing boat year-round from Seaworld in Montego Bay. There's Rose Hall, which is a Great House. During Annie Palmer's time there, she had the image of being a tough and merciless mistress of the estate. She was a rich widow. She remained independent and in control by using Voodoo. Interesting lady. Dunn's River. Lots to see and do.

First of all, get some mangoes! June is soooo mango season!
Check out Greenwood Great House, Chukka Tours and Mayfield Falls. You can always take a day trip to Negril or to Ochie.
There is decent shopping all along the strip as well as at the City Center and at Half Moon. You can do horseback riding at Good Hope, river rafting at various locations, ATV tours in the hills...Oh... and there's always the beach too
I wish you could rent a car and take a drive all over the island, especially to Tiverton's stomping grounds- Treasure Beach and Portland. But that would probably be too much for a first timer

Julie, Number 11 and Bombay are the mangoes to look for, rarely found in US.
Get AWAY from the Hip Strip and out into the countryside via private touring
guide to: Mayfields Falls, Rocklands
Bird Sanctuary, dinner at The Houseboat Grille, Greenwood/Orange Grove for horseback riding -- and if you more adventurous, Browns Town market on Saturdays and Cockpit country.

Go to Rocklands Bird Sanctuary! It is amazing! You are given a little bottle of sugar water and instruction on how to hold your fingers out. Then hummingbirds zoom in and sit on your fingers to sip the sugar water.
The grounds keepers are lovely too! They will take you on a tour and show you everything from hummingbird nests to allspice plants, pineapple and much more!

Ya mon! I was told, and this was a while ago, that the Pork Pit in Mo Bay is great for jerk meats. I saw this place once on the travel channel too. Just have a cold Red Stripe ready to wash it down. Or maybe two.

Helshire Beach is not exactly a restaurant. It's fish...on the beach. Literally.
jacketwatch, I believe Scotchie's is supposed to be the ultimate jerk place in Mobay now. I don't eat meat so can't do the relevant testing for ya.
There's also a relatively new place at Fairview in Bogue called "Jerkys" I think. That place is pretty popular with the jerk meat eaters too.
