Looking for hotel recommendations in Dublin

We will be in Dublin from June 28 to July 4. Any hotel recommendations? City center locations seem to run at $1200 and up.

I can only relate my experience. Stayed at the former Hard Rock Hotel, now called NYX Hotel Dublin Christchurch, right in the middle of all the action. First time on recommendation of a friend from Dublin, second time because the location and price and everything was ok so why bother changing...second visit less satisfactory, but again...location and price. Yes, it is outdated Hard Rock decor heavy on U2 and Sinead O'Connor as you might imagine. It is right where you want to be for sure, check the price I think it was a couple hundred bucks a night. Had the breakfast first visit, very good, a bit pricey if you don't want a big meal. My partner thinks we could have done better, she likes Airbnb maybe another hotel would be cheaper if you look. It did have all the integrated electronic controls for lights, TV, room service, heat, etc which was maddening... again, cool and trendy. Super pubs and food within one block, great affordable pizza place right across the street. I would stay there again. It is full of Warhol looking prints of 80s and 90s rock stars. Who cares.

This May we are staying at the Drury Court Hotel located at 28-30 Stephen Street. A friend recommended this hotel to me. It's about $300 per night, including breakfast. You might want to check it out on Booking.com

Incredible, but not at all surprising. Even in Dublin, $1,000USD per night has become nothing surprising. I wonder if, three years from now, that will become a "normal" price for a night at a hotel.

(I've never been to Ireland would would love to go)

Enjoyed our stay at the Castle Hotel, Dublin. The chain hotels also offer good value in Dublin eg MotelOne, Holiday Inn Express, Leonardo...

While not in the city center, we stayed for five nights at a lovely Victorian, the 4-star Ariel House, on Landsdowne Road in the leafy Ballsbridge district, Dublin 4, walkable to the center The current refundable rate for your dates, including their "award winning" breakfast is €271/night (no deposit required).

Some years back we stayed at the Westbury https://www.doylecollection.com/hote...westbury-hotel. While it is expensive, it's a lot less than $1,000 a night. More like $700 -- 800 for your dates.
