I have no clue as to what works in Kenmare.
In Galway last year, the Uber availability wasn't showing and no taxi ranks were near me, so I downloaded, on the spot, the Freenow app, and had a cab in seconds.
We always had good luck with official taxis in Dublin, by the way.
