Question about obtaining a visa for Brazil
Hello,
My husband and I (US citizens) are thinking of a trip to Brazil, Argentina, and Chile in 2027, most likely either in March or April. I understand that since April 2025 US citizens now need a visa to enter Brazil. I have read some horror stories from people attempting to apply for the e-Visa. They follow the instructions for taking the passport size photo and the instructions for scanning the Passport information page. But the visa is denied because there is always something wrong with the photo or the passport scan, and this nightmare process goes on for a long time. Has anyone here recently applied for the Brazil e-Visa? What was the process like? If we didn't want to visit both sides of Iguaza Falls, we would probably skip Brazil.
Thank you!

KarenWoo – My husband applied for the Brazil e-visa last April. From what I remember, he followed the instructions, took the passport size photo (at home) and scanned the Passport information page and sent to them. Then, they replied saying that the photo was not good. So, he went to CVS and got a passport photo there and sent it again. In a week or so he got an e-mail with the e-visa issued.
He used this site:

I hope it works for you!

Brazil visa
We are Canadians. We just came back from trip to Argentina with a stop at Iguazu falls Brazil side. We needed an e-visa and took our photos at CAA ( equivalent to AAA- with our membership they were free). We applied snd downloaded photos. I think visa came in about 1 week. They had a toll free number to call to get some help
