South West Coast path and my old knees

Last year I walked part of the South West Coast path for a week and had an absolutely wonderful time. I am going back in May to walk a different part of the path (Penzance to Falmouth). The same company will be transporting my bag from inn to inn. I am very happy with my intinerary, but towards the end of it there is a fairly long day. From Coverack to Mawnan Smith is about 24 km (15 mi) with some up and down. It will probably be fine, but I want to have a plan B in case that many days of long walks in a row is a bit much for my knees. I could get a taxi from Coverack to Porthallow and then walk from Porthallow to Mawnan Smith to shorten that day a bit. That said, I do not want to skip walking the Coverack to Porthallow section if it is especially beautiful. Last year, I almost left out one short section, and it ended up being my favorite part of the trip.

Any advice on whether I will be missing out if I skip walking the Coverack to Porthallow part of the path?

Some background information:
I am an experienced solo hiker, so I do not need advice on getting in shape, equipment, safety, etc. (Thanks anyway.)
My accommodations are already reserved.
