Happy Australia Day

To my Aussie friends, have a very happy Australia Day. I was fortunate to have joined you in celebration a year ago on this day. Here are some photos from my visit to Sydney last year, when we attended the welcome ceremony, sailed on Bungaree as part of the Ferrython, and watched the concert and fireworks from the Opera House.

whilst I understand your wishes I'm not sure if you are aware that many of us do celebrate it anymore. we join with our indigenous brothers and sisters in recognizing the date as invasion day . Someone pointed out to me "Imagine if another country invaded Australia and took it over pushing us out and taking our land and homes would we celebrate that day ????

Northie, appreciate your thoughts. It's not dissimilar to the thoughts around Columbus Day here in the United States.
