Couple trip late September where to go??

Hi I’m celebrating my 50th (very end of September) with my husband. We have been to Breckenridge (fall) and copper mt (winter). I enjoyed both but want to go somewhere else. Relaxing, kicking, biking (nothing crazy), ATV or horseback, strolling through town, eating out. General site seeing. I prefer beautiful views. Budget would be around $2,500 for accommodations only. We will be flying into Denver and renting a car. Thinking 4n5d or 5n6d. Flexible on amount of time. Prefer to stay in one place, but day trips are fine. Any suggestions?

Crested Butte is a quaint 1880s mining town and a National Historic District. It is also a mountain biking capital with hundreds of miles of mt. biking trails nearby. It features rows of pastel Victorian storefronts which house boutique shops and restaurants. Crested Butte's Creative District encompasses the Center for the Arts, and 16 artist-owned studios and galleries. Lots of outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and horseback-riding. It's four hours from Denver.
