Orient Bay or Grand Case?

This will be our first trip to St. Martin - going late March/early /April for a 35th anniversary trip After some research, we've narrowed it down to staying in Grand Case ( Petit Hotel) or Orient Bay (La Playa Orient Bay). Both hotels seem quiet and on nice beaches , and walking distance to restaurants. Orient Beach seems to perhaps be more desirable, but Grand Case seems more central to other activities such as Loterie Farm, Friar's Bay, Happy Bay....We will probably have a car but would prefer not to drive more or longer than necessary. Can anyone help narrow this down, and has anyone stayed at either of the hotels I mentioned? Thank you!

Hi JoanYul,
Presuming this is still relevant as you posted this in July 24 for April (2025?): it does not matter which one you pick (Grand Case v Orient Bay) as they are a 5 min drive away. Both have restaurants galore, supermarkets and activities in town. Loterie Farm in neither case is walking distance but requires a drive or cab.

Car rental?

Thank you. We’re staying in Grand Case. Should we rent a car for the week or will 2-3 days rental be enough? Can we walk to get snacks/wine? If we don’t have a rental car some days, would a taxi be okay for trips to Loterie Farm, Orient Bay, Marigot?
