Civitavecchia port to Rome Termini
Hello. My sister and I will be on a cruise ending in Civitavecchia, then we will have a few days in Rome. I was thinking we would take the train into the city, but I see there's also a bus. I understand it's a bit of a walk to the train station and of course, we'll be dragging our luggage. Does the bus pick up at the port? Has anyone used it?

One bus daily at 9:30
From what I understand, there is one shuttle bus at 9:30 am that departs from the port to Rome. It's SIT bus company. It stops near Termini. You can get a taxi from there to your hotel.

The Sitbusshuttle picks up at Largo Delle Pace. I haven't used it but Sitbusshuttle has run shuttles from Rome airport into Rome for years (at least 15). If that doesn't work, the port has shuttle buses to the train station for 6 euro. The regional trains depart fairly often and are less than 5 euro. Depending on where you are staying in Rome, you might not want to go all the way to Termini. The regional trains will stop at Roma S Pietro, Roma Trastevere (where you can hop the #8 tram that goes to Piazza Venezia if you are staying in that vicinity), Roma Osteinse (where you could walk to the Piramide Metro stop) before they get to Termini. There are a few Frecce trains that will not make any stops between Civitavecchia and Termini and a few IC trains that might have less stops than the R trains (click details to see).
