Seeking Amsterdam Hotel Advice March

Hello,
Last minute trip! Second week in March. Myself, husband and college-aged daughter are taking her on spring break trip to Amsterdam. We are thrilled that she wants to travel with us (well, we are paying!) and this is her first time to Amsterdam. Husband and I have been a couple of times, but well over 20 years ago! I've heard that it's become more wild with stag/hen parties etc. That's not our scene.

We think that we'll need 2 hotel rooms so as not to be cramped. We'd love to have a refrigerator and ability to snack on leftovers in the room and not have to go out for every meal. We are older parents and prefer good firm beds, and bathrooms with high sinks/toilets,so are looking at hotels versus apartment rentals. We are all nerdy art/architecture/history lovers seeking proximity to casual eats, charm, museums. A youthful atmosphere is always fun but away from redlight or party venues. Considering the following, any thoughts are welcomed!

Ambassade Hotel
The Pavilions Amsterdam,The Toren
Hotel 717
Tivoli Doelen (wary about location?)

Thank you!
BMarie

Amsterdam Marriott or Ambassade?

Wondering if folks have opinions on these 2 hotels for comfort & safety. Some pros & cons here: We've booked 2 rooms at each of the Ambassade and the Amsterdam Marriott. Amsterdam Marriott gives us M Club access with breakfast, snacks, and what sounds like evening hors d'ouvres. Perfect for our family as we tend to have a big breakfast, snack during the day, then dinner. Ambassade breakfast would be another E20 per person/day. Marriott saves us over E1,200 in room fees. With allergies, the more spartan decor of the Marriott looks good. Ambassade looks very charming. Marriott is near the Leidseplein, will it be safe to walk to our hotel after dinner? We will not be out much past 10 or 11 pm is my guess. Thanks for any thoughts!

We love l’Ambassade! It was formed by connecting vintage merchant homes so has character. It is right on the Herengracht Canal and near the Nine Streets( shopping.) . We love the Canal Streets area where it is located. You can easily walk to good restaurants.
Our rooms have been charming. We can’t wait to return.

You will have a wonderful time!
I have not stayed at either hotel, but both locations are great!
Maybe look at Booking.com for reviews and Google maps for street views.
Is that correct that the difference in the total price is 1200 euros? That would decide it for me, for a hotel room you won't be in much. Also, the freebies make life easier. Enjoy!
