Looking for a town in the Côte d’Azur like Ravello

Hello. First post. I will be in the French Riviera at the end of May (during Cannes) and I’m looking for a seaside town comparable to Ravello. All advice and recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Nothing identical, if you are looking for a high perched town. The village of Eze is the closest in terms of view and being off the sea, but is more of a perched stone village (or the lesser known Roquebrune -- the old village portion is perched up in the hills). However, you can consider Menton or Villefranche-sur-Mer. Both are easily reached by train from Cannes and the main old towns are by the sea, but the towns do climb up into the hillsides. Brightly colored Menton sits right on the border, and with the citrus themes will bring the Amalfi to mind. VSM is more touristed of the two. Note the Monaco Grand Prix dates as well -- that will impact crowds and your overall experience (esp in VSM or Roquebrune).

Hi richardnoble5803, if the album doesn't come right up, scroll down to 'Menton and Lyon':

We adored staying in Ramateulle, views of the sea and beaches from it’s high perch. Slightly west of St-Tropez.,

I would not stay in EZE - too much of a fishbowl feel. My favorite of the villages gooster (who has a home in Nice) recommends is Menton. Here is my wife's Shutterfly book from our 2014 trip to the Cote. The cover photo is taken from the fort at Roquebrune.

Attached is my Provence & Cote d'Azur itinerary.
