Zurich Airport station
If I book a train ticket to Luzern from Zurich Airport for a certain time but miss the train due to delays can I catch the next train to Luzern free of charge

Depends on what kind of ticket you buy.

If it's a SuperSaver, you're committed to a specific train at a specific time.

If it's a regular ticket, you're fine.

I never buy SuperSaver advance tickets on my day of arrival for this very reason. The savings isn't worth the risk to me.

Per the SBB site:

The SuperSaver ticket selected is issued for a specific train (no refund or exchange). Choose point to point for flexible travel.

Note: The supersaver ticket

Buy your ticket at Zurich airport railway station (ticket machine or smartphone) and pay with credit card. Trains run every 30 min.
