We would like to take this ferry from Rhodes and need to know if US citizens need a visa to visit for the day.

I avoided that particular day-adventure because heard it was mainly a visit to a mall full of junky souvenirs.... but we did do a day-excursion from Samos to another Turkey port, to visit Ephesus. We had to leave our passports at a "lock-up" but did not have to have visas... I was told that staying overnight would create a visa need.

I suppose you know that there is nothing to see at Marmaris but tons of tourists from Northern Europe. The real gems of the area are east of Dalaman.

Thank you, I am not expecting much I Marmaris. It was my hope to see a little different culture there.
