I recently spent 7 weeks in western France in September – October, 2019. It was a great trip!

Not planning to do a full TR with travel details, hotel info, restaurant info, etc... but here is my trip in pictures.

The first picture is a map of my where I spent hotel/apartment nights. It doesn't include day trips from those locations. But, most cities/towns/villages that I visited are noted on the first pic of that location or as a comment on the first pic.

Joannyc, I love your photos and your itinerary! We have been to the Dordogne. We stayed in Sarlat for 4 nights and in Brantome for 2 nights, so I was happy to see that you visited Brantome. It's rarely mentioned on this forum. We thought it was wonderful, very pretty and quiet when we were there in May 2015. Sarlat, of course, was much busier. We haven't been to Normandy yet, but hopefully some day. Your photos of Normandy are beautiful and sad at the same time. Did you have some favorites? Were there any places you were disappointed in?

What wonderful photos! But I have to ask - what was the blue Smart Car with Bretagne on the side being turned upside down for? I didn't understand that.

I don't know -- I sorta' liked the sense of spontaneity those pics provided, and the evidence that joannyc isn't a professional photographer sharing her photos in the hope of inspiring a purchase, just someone sharing her delightful trip with us. JMO.

I'm not a professional photographer but I do know the sea doesn't slope. Either get it right in the first place or straighten it afterwards. It isn't hard to straighten the horizon, plenty of free software to do it for you, including on your phone, and sponateneous amateur of full on pro your photo will look so much better.
Pedantic maybe, but it annoys the heck out of me. Sorry.

Wow, I honestly cannot imagine how VERY annoyed hetismij2 must have been to not only post a criticism to a freely offered trip report that one could easily simply ignore, but to also repeat and elaborate upon it. Might I suggest that hetismij2 should, at all costs, avoid surfing?
