Hong Kong in December
Hi,
I'm heading to Hong Kong for the first time this December for 4 nights. I have drafted the below itinerary but am not sure if it's doable or not? We arrive on the 19th of December so I am a bit worried about how busy it might be. Any advice would be appreciated!
Day One:
Flight arrives 3pm
Train into city and check into hotel
Dinner and explore local area
Victoria Peak and Peak Tram (happy to do this either night - depending on weather)
Day Two:
Ngong Ping and Tai O Fishing Village
Victoria Peak and Peak Tram
Day Three:
Macau
Day Four:
Big Bus Tour
Temple Street Market
Ladies Market
Star Ferry
Day Five:
Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade
Kowloon Park
Man Mo Temple
9pm flight departure
Open to suggestions! Thanks!

When I was in Hong Kong for 5 nights, starting at the end of Jan 2017 to the beginning of Feb 2017, the weather was rainy, foggy, and cold. As for the views, they were basically covered in fog. The rooftop of my hotel was situated for some fabulous night views had I been able to see them well through the fog.
As for Victoria Peak, I went during the day and it was rainy and very foggy. I booked it through one of the tour companies that my hotel was connected with which provided a small bus, with only about 4 or 5 other people on it and Stanley Market was also included on that tour. I’m glad that I did it that way as I didn’t have to deal with the tram situation, at Victoria Peak, which looked like Disneyland on a summer, overcrowded day whereas the bus dropped us off at the top, guide came with us, entered an elevator and there we were. Easy. No horrendous lines and a time saver. There is also a regular bus that goes to Victoria Peak, but I didn’t feel like wasting time getting to it and then getting to the Peak and then having to get to it again to get back into Hong Kong and back to my hotel.
Happy Travels!
