Around Friburg, Germany
Hello!
In a couple of weeks we will be travelling to Friburg, after having spent some days in Colmar, Strasbourg, Baden Baden, etc. We will stay near the city (Kirchtarten) for two days. I would like you to help me telling me what you think and even propose changes or places to visit!
I am thinking of this as my first day:
In the morning; Sasbachwalden. Would like to visit a vineyard. I would like one where I could walk around the vines and that,........ I mean that I do not want to enter only to one cellar where the wine is stored, but also wander in the green landscape. Anyone can help me find one such vineyard?
After that go to Gengenbach and have lunch over there. Any place to recommend? In the afternoon I plan to go to Schiltach and Triberg and visit those small towns. Are they worthwhile?
The 2nd day I would go to Friburg, where I would spend the morning, having lunch and after that heading somewhere else where I could make a short trek in a nice green landscape.....something to propose here? Or if it weren't a trek, where would you spend the afternoon nearby?
We will be moving by car, so transportation is not a problem. We love small towns, art museums, mountains and rivers and lakes, and would preferably avoid touristry spots and lots of people.....
Thank you so much for your help!!!!

You could take the cable car up the Schauinsland (Schauinslandbahn - Lift up to 1,284 m with Germany?s longest loop cable car. ) and walk back down to Freiburg (note the spelling for the purpose of Google searches).

The best vineyards are around Colmar-Ribeauvillé. But there are vineyards on the Kaiserstuhl (Sasbach) too. Sasbach in der Ortenau | Wandern
Gengenbach is closer to Strasbourg than to Freiburg, whereas Sasbach is just in the middle between Colmar and Freiburg.
It makes sense to reach Kirchzarten from Gengenbach via Triberg, Titisee and Hinterzarten: scenic local roads through the Black Forest.
I second Mike concerning Schauinsland. There is also a abandoned mine to visit, if you like this kind of things.
BTW: well signmarked hiking trails are omnipresent in the Black Forest area.

The recommendations of Schauinsland are very good ones. You'll need to drive out to the base of the gondola. There is also a funicular just at the edge of the altstadt (Schlossbergbahn). Not nearly as nice as the Schauinsland gondola, but very accessible - no need for a car. This takes you part way up a very high hill that overlooks Freiburg, and there is an observation tower all the way at the top. There are also some nice places for views along the way back down. Another less spectacular walk near the altstadt is a walking path along the Dreisam river, heading west from the middle of Freiburg. It's green, and quiet. There are tram stops out to the west near the river if you don't want to walk all the way back. You also pass the Gantner brewery along the way, which has quite a nice beer garden.
