10 Days in Shanghai Area, itinerary help

So after a job I have 10 days mid-April in Shanghai before flying out again. I've never been to this part of China before, what's a good itinerary to see the region? Everybody seems to have a different opinion on how much time to spend in Shanghai and whether to visit Hangzhou or Suzhou. I love museums, history, and old buildings so does anybody have an suggestions on how much time to spend places or things to see?

Thanks!

I would visit Hangzhou over Suzhou. In fact, I would spend a night or two in Hangzhou.

With 10 days you can visit both Suzhou and Hangzhou and will probably have some spare time left. You might consider adding Nanjing. Yangzhou, a smaller town is also interesting as well as the "water towns" such as Tongli and others.
You need to read about these places and google some photos to make some choices before making n itinerary.

If you like mountains, check out Huanshan (Yellow Mountain), it is amazing.
