How to get to hotel near CDG from Lyon
We will need to stay the night near CDG for an early morning flight. We will be in Lyon the day before and will get a train to Paris, which I presume will arrive at Gare de Lyon. Looking for help on best way to get to hotel iin Roissy - I don't think there is a train to there, is there a bus? If so, where would we catch it. We will have a small suitcase each (there are 2 people). Thanks

Le Bus Direct, Line 4. Just walk out of the gare and follow the signs. Takes about an hour 15 minutes.
You could also take the métro/RER, but I prefer less hassle.

Not all trains from Lyon arrive at Gare de Lyon, Demon22. For your best convenience, there are TGV trains arriving directly at the airport, namely "Roissy Gare TGV" or "CDG TGV", you can look for it on train websites.

Ask your hotel if they have a shuttle to and from the airport... most hotels that are not at the airport proper offer this setvice. In that event, TGV to the airport and grab a shuttle to the hotel. if

Good advice. If the hotel hasn't got a shuttle then it holds no interest to sleep there. Better cancel and rebook either at the airport or in Paris.
Being close to the airport but still dependent of a taxi is the worst of two worlds.

Be VERY careful about hotels that are "CDG" located. There are lots and lots of them and some are very far away. I booked a Novotel that was at least a 30 minute shuttle bus ride away - it had called itself an airport hotel. There were several other hotels in the area but no place to eat dinner besides vending machines.
We took a taxi from Paris to the airport and without even realizing it, the driver dropped us at the wrong Novotel - my mistake for not showing him the reservation. It was also a Suite Novotel. We had to take a bus to get to the proper hotel.
It was a real newbie mistake, one that I should have been more careful about and should have seen the error.

I second DebitNM: be careful.
I usually sleep in a hotel very close to the RER station Villepinte Parc des Expositions, only 1 stop from the airport, trains every few minutes: hotels Ibis styles, Premiere Classe and Kyriad

The Sheraton is more expensive that many would want to pay. We have stayed at the T3 Ibis. Smallest hotel room I have ever had. We've also stayed the the Millenium [didn't like] and the Marriott (liked a lot). Both are on the same street and took maybe 15 minutes max via shuttle. It's easy enough to check a hotels location with Google Maps.

We stay in Ibis hotels all over France- have a card from them that gives us discounts. Small rooms and mediocre buffet breakfasts, but the staff are always lovely, the rooms are clean, and they are usually convenient to where we want to be/go. No complaints.
If you're aiming at a hotel in Roissy, do what FurryFluffy suggests and get a direct train from Lyon to CDG, then use a hotel shuttle to get you to your hotel or stay in the Sheraton, which is IN the airport.
