did any one vacation in an apt in the southern part of italy?
i was thinking of a residence instead of a hotel..hmm

I exchanged my house in France for a house on the beach in Vilinio, south of Rome. Never rented a place, though. But lots of people do, I suppose.

The "southern part of Italy" is a lot of ground to cover. Do you have a particular region or town in mind? If you post the name of a more specific place, you might get attract the attention of someone who may have rented there.

We have rented villas or apartments in Sicilia and Calabria. In Sicilia we stayed just south of Siracusa in a house right on the beach. In Calabria we rented an apartment in Tropea with a spectacular view of the Stromboli volcano, which sent up big sparks each night. Both vacations were wonderful and both houses were in the www.parkervillas.com collection. I'm sure you could also find places on vrbo.com and other sites.
Tropea is a fantastic little town.
