What's your favorite US Festival?

What's your favorite US Festival? Do you have any that you visit year after year?

We picked the 7 festival worth traveling for. They're perfect for fried food aficionados, celeb-chef chasers, hot air balloon adventurers, and everyone in between.

Testicle Festival. There are a few around the country. I am going to the one in Vinita this year(about an hour from me). Some people call them Lamb Fries, Calf Fries, or Rocky Mountain Oysters. The one in Vinita has been going on for 30 or 40 years now.

Agree with Balloon Fiesta here in ABQ but The Blues and Brews Festival in Telluride in mid September is terrific too. Stunning location with spectacular views; great suds and food and first class music.

Frozen Dead Guy Days in Nederland, Colorado. Any place that offers coffin races and frozen salmon tossing needs to be checked out.

Mardi Gras but not in NO. Go to Eunice, La and see what Mardi
Gras was like before NO commercialized it.

Getting the plans ready for DH and DS#1 (and hopefully DS#2) to do the last week of Jazz Fest this year. DH went almost every year he lived in NO and he and DS#1 went 2 years ago. They are really looking forward to hearing Trombone Shorty the final night of the festival.

weber6560, I went o Mardi Gras in Thibodeau. It was so much fun and a big family thing. People were cooking burgers on grills along the parade route. I was staying with the Naquins at their B&B (do it if you ever get the chance) and they gave me all the best scoop. I highly rec your rec.
