Cruise on Gulet in Turkey?

I'm vaguely thinking about doing this in 2027 and would love to read about anyone here who has taken a cruise on a gulet.
My main interest would be swimming and visiting some port towns on the route. So I'd want calm and warm water, as much as that can be determined in advance. I was thinking about one week.

I would not want any kind of party boat and would not even want the boat to have music playing all the time.

I'd love to hear some opinions. It appears that many cruises begin, or end, in Fethiye.

There exist all kinds of gullet cruises, mainly from Bodrum (airport Bodrum-Milas), Marmaris, Dalyan (airport Dalaman), Fethyie (twice daily catamaran from Rhodos), Kas (20 min ferry ride from Kastellorizo airport) and Antalya. They last from just 1 up to 7 days.
East of Marmaris, the water will be warm anyway. Calm water can be more or less guaranteed at the beaches of Ekincik, Göcek, Inlice, Gunluklu, Olu Deniz, Suluklu (if there are waves, nearby Tasbidi is calm and vice versa), Phaselis and many others.

Thanks, Necker! I will do some reading about this.

I took a cruise on the Turkish coast long ago--a cruise ship filled only with Turkish families and couples. I think it cost us the equivalent of $100 for a week, all meals included, and we had a blast--two sheltered girls from the NYC suburbs with a boatload of Turks, none of whom could speak very good English. Those days are long gone, of course, but it's a good memory.

It is really difficult to choose a proper Gulet as there are many options and different itineraries. But generally they start from Bodrum to Antalya or vice versa.
it wouldn't have been appropriate to write a company name here. If you text me private message , or email me, I can tell you some of the Gulet companies.

Welcome to Fodors. It is perfectly appropriate to recommend companies by name. As long as you are not associated with them/advertising. That of course is not allowed. Much better to share on the public boards rather than by private messages.

I might focus on the Bodrum end of Turkey rather than the Syrian end.

The Syrian end? Arsuz? I never saw a gulet there.

Thank you for informing me that I can write names of the gulets. I am new at this forum and I didn't know.
First of all , I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY OF THOSE COMPANIES OR GULETS. PLEASE MAKE A DOUBLE CHECK AND SEE REVIEWS.

Luxury style ;

* Gulet Arabella
* Kaya Güneri or Kaya Guneri

Regular style ;

* Teos
* Diana S

Well .. these are just a few that I remember but I think these names may open other gates while searching online.

Hope that this helps!!

Good luck,
