Excellent report! It sure brought back a lot of our fond memories when my husband and I visited Alaska in 2010.

We had similar itineraries like yours, but traveled further to Fairbanks, visited the Alyeska pipeline, and turned around at Tok, drove to Valdez, then back on Glen Highway to Anchorage.

We were in our early fifties at that time. We also did the Flattop trail in Anchorage and that started my passion for hiking.
