great trip to Argentina
We got back a week ago from our wonderful trip to Argentina. We worked with Argentina Escapes. Maria did a great job putting the trip together and everything worked out great. We went to Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Iguasu. If anyone wants more details let me know.

We arrived early on a Tuesday morning from Washington DC and were met by a driver holding a sign with our names on it. Every single transfer within Argentina was perfect. Someone was always there and on time. We spent the day in BA (very tired from the flight) and took an early morning flight to Iguazu. Contrary to what I have read all of our flights with aerolineas argentinas were also great. No problems at all. Anyway, we loved Iguazu and feel the Sheraton is worth it. We loved staying in the park. We spent 1.5 days in Iguazu and found it to be the perfect amount of time for us. We did not go to the
Brazilian side. We took the boat tour (highly recommended) and the jungle tour (not so great). It is fun to explore all the trails and take the train for a spectacular view. I've been to Angel Falls in Venezuela and I would say they are both amazing.
We took a mid day flight to BA and then onto Mendoza. We were met at the airport and brought to Lares de Chacras in a suburb of Mendoza. Th is a great rural inn (although lots of barking dogs at night if that bothers you don't stay here). We arrived late and the inn made us a simple but delicious dinner. The meat really is tasty in Argentina. It was a good location for seeing the vineyards which is why we went to Mendoza. Our guides from Aventura and wine were excellent and brought us to several wineries for tours, tastings and an outdoor feast. The food was very good. We took taxis into Mendoza to see the city which was fine but didn't thrill us. Taxis in Argentina are cheap. We had no problems with them but my husband and I speak Spanish so maybe that affects our experience. Our guide was excellent and I would highly recommend aventura and wine. The driver was also great--a really nice guy. I have to say everyone we met in Argentina was very kind to us. Very warm and open. I have to take my daughter to dance. I will continue when my kids give me a moment!
Saludos,
Kris
