We are planning to visit CR during the holy week. It seems to be very crowded and difficult to find a hotel less than $60, a car rental, ... <BR>Could anyone confirm?<BR>If right, we are planning our trip for the last 2 weeks of May. What about the weather during this period?<BR>Thanks in advance for your help.

Easter/Holy week is busy in CR as lots of Ticos vacation at the beaches at that time. It's certainly more crowded and harder to find hotels unless booked in advance. Also, banks close, bus schedules are reduced, etc. Not to mention the fact that alcohol is hard to get, even beer, unless staying at one of the larger hotels. I'd go in May instead. You will have some rain, but not all day every day. Mostly afternoon showers, which you'll enjoy, as even in May, it's HOT.<BR>Just my opinion.

Easter Week<BR>In much of Manuel Antonio we are already sold out for Easter Week. My place sold out most of the rooms about 5 days ago. If you want to come for Easter you need to book, at least at beach hotels, NOW. The beach areas are popular places for Easter and we had the onslaught of reservations in the last three weeks.<BR>I guess n some places things are really tight, many of us got a group email from some CR travel agents who couldn't find a room!<BR>May would be great, way less crowded, nice weather and better prices. We change our rates n April and they are better than durng the December-April rates....<BR>Best wishes!<BR>Robbie
