Costa Rica - 6 1/2 days / 6 nights

Hi all
We are arriving very early am to Puerto Caldera Costa Rica by boat.in early March.
We have 6 full days and leave on the 7th at 1 pm from San Jose

Ideally I would like to visit 2 areas and not have to spend the last night in San Jose if at all possible

Clearly I could spend the whole time in the Manual Antonio area but I would prefer to see another region such as Arenal

I am not interested in spending all day at the beach

I would appreciate your thoughts
Sandy

Need to know what you are interested in. Manuel Antonio is the most touristy area in the country but there are other possibilities in that area which are closer such as Carara Nat. Park. You could easily spend two days near where you arrive, and four days in Arenal. With a 1 pm departure you could spend your last night somewhere in the central area a couple hours from Alajuela, which is where the San Jose airport is. No need to go to the city.

Hi

I will check out Carara Nat-it looks great and we will spend 4 nights in Arenal

Can you recommend a company to do the driving transfers from place to place?

Go to the tripadvisor costa rica forum--the regular site not the app--and look at top questions on the right for "what options for travelling"

Hi, s - we always just book drivers through our hotels when we reserve them. Very easy, and it's always worked out great. We love both Arenal and Manuel Antonio.
