BA-Valdes-Ushuaia-ElCalafate-BA
Hi,
I posted yesterday (I copied that post below), and it isn't getting responses, so thought I'd be more explicit about what I'm seeking.
I'm planning to visit Argentina in April for 2-3 weeks for the first time. Because I'd like to visit a few areas, which will require internal travel, and because I'd like to see specific things with a guide, I think I'd be better off with the help of a travel agency. I'll also be traveling alone and no longer want to just "wing it" (guess I've gotten old).
At the same time, I'm not rich and don't need luxury.
So I'm seeking an agency that will make internal travel arrangements and deal with any problems with flights, find me decent hotels in areas outside of BA, find me good guides, and provide advice (for ex, I may be trying to see too much) and suggestions based on my interests.
I doubt I'll want the agency's service for my time in BA. I'm used to wandering around cities on my own and expect I can find a decent hotel in BA without too much difficulty. I do want to spend at least 4 days in BA.
I speak Spanish and hope to vivir en castellano when in Argentina, so I don't need bilingual guides.
So is Wow!Argentina still recommended?

Hi, I'm considering using Wow!Argentina for an upcoming trip to Argentina. As they require a fee just to plan the trip, I'd like to hear any recent experiences with this company. I've seen recommendations, but they're all years old. The agent at Wow!Argentina that I'm corresponding with is Romina Menditto. Any advice about using this agency?

Hi avrooster,
Thank you! I hope you are recovering, and that you'll soon be walking about with what I infer is your usual energy.
Your tour sounds most interesting, but your health and my timing may or may not coincide happily.
I'll be posting more and suspect I'll see your replies, as you clearly are one of the resident experts on Argentina!
Cindy
