Andes Airline to Salta--More Info or English Site?

Since the site is in Spanish, can anyone provide details of how often they fly, whether you must book in advance, etc. We are hoping to arrive in Salta area and then make our reservations -- not before we leave United States. Will this be a problem or are most of their flights full? Any further information (flight times, etc) would be greatly appreciated as we do not read Spanish.

They have a daily flight BA to Salta in the evening and a flight Salta to BA early in the morning. Since there are few flights and the price is good (RT should cost you about 1600 Argentine pesos for two people) they get booked up. If you are using a travel agent for anything else on your visit, get them to book it for you.

Dear Kacollier: This is not something I could answer but suggest [email protected]. She can help you with the schedules, and info. And you made a great choice coming to Salta! Congratulations!

Quite independently of this site, I have booked a ticket on Andes Airlines from BA-Salta (I am coming back by bus). I would book in advance of your trip. Aerolineas Argentina raised their rates to make air travel prohibitively expensive for the budget minded. Andes costs almost a third of the price. They don't have a ton of flights a day (maybe 2) so they are likely to be full. And AA is the only competition really.

Used Connie at [email protected] or www.marina-semisa.com.ar for Salta reservations, and she was excellent. Her English is perfect and she knows the area and travel connection information very well. If you want a local travel agent in Salta, I would highly recommend her.
