Reading the whole story I can imagine how frustrated the woman must be after a 12 hour delay with the flight on Christmas eve. Seems like she was just having a bad day and now is venting it out on the agency. And I can imagine how much of an issue she might have created for the agency for her late arrival. Did she do this for the airline too? which seems to be the root cause of her suffering.
I don't blame the sales rep who might have been having a dinner with his family at the very time on Christmas eve. On a business holiday and that too being Christmas in Argentina, why was she shocked if they couldn't arrange a pick-up? I spent two years there and everyone wishes to enjoy equally and no one, not even cab owners, would ruin there evening just because this lady got her flight delayed.
After traveling 50 countries one would expect to be more adaptable and adventuristic.
Sorry for her.
Your warning sign truly got me interested in the post but I don't find much of a substance in your claim. It was just a special day.

Yeah, Fodor's should have a feature that closes very old posts automatically to new comments, like I have seen "elsewhere".

Fodors tried doing that with TRs a couple of years back, but several of us complained and they went back to leaving them open. I recently had a quick chat on an old one of mine. If someone posts on an old thread and it upsets you, just use the triangle.

thursdaysd: I don't "upset" easily and I "use the triangle" mostly to report "commercial" posts.

Many of such posts "resurrect" very old threads, to make it look as if they are answering a question.
