Opinion: Bus vs. Taxi

We will need to get from EZE airport to AEP airport for flight to Iguazu. Will have either 2 carry-ons or 2 carry-ons and one piece to check-in. Can we do a direct bus to EPE to save a ton of dough or is it not worth the hastle and what are the approximate costs involved here? Thanks for your thoughts. Oh yes, we will be doing this on a Friday, with plane landing at EZE at 07:45 AM and plane at AEP airport taking off at 13:30 or 1:30PM.

You can check prices for both a remise and for bus tickets in
the Manuel Tienda Leon web sitewww.tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home.asp#

if I am not wrong the bus tickets are $45 each and the remise for both of you would be $130, the difference
$40pesos which I guess is like 13 dollars, for me, the remise is a better deal.
HOwever if you double check in situ how long the bus will take, at what time it will be leaving from Ezeiza to Aeroparque etc if the arriving time is ok it is perfectly ok to take it .They are confortable, nice buses. and of course you can spend the 13 bucks in a cafe.

Check out:

http://www.tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home.asp

but remember $ are pesos, not dollars.

If you are on a budget, you can take one of the other services, which will be cheaper than Tienda León. However, the service MUST be prepaid. Do NOT take take a cab which cannot be prepaid in a proper booth.

Thanks so much Graziella5b and Avrooster.

As you suggested, I went to the site to see the bus price and the Tienda Leon (car service) price and the approximate $12-13 US dollars difference between the two. I showed this to my wife and she said, quot;only a $13US dollar difference! We will be sports and do the Car Service." So that't it- Tienda Leon it will be. I'm easy!!!

Now how does that work? Can we just do it when we are there (EZE) and after we have received our luggage and after we have gone to the ATM or National Banco to change money?? Please be so kind as to answer these last few questions. Thanks again.

You can reserve online, I believe, or, after you have cleared customs, one of you can go to the Banco de la Nación to change dollars into pesos (try to get as much change as possible) and the other one can take care of Tienda León, where you can pay with your credit card. Do NOT change dollars in a conveniently located booth called Global Exchange. They are crooks.

Have a great time in our country with your DW, Jay.
