World Maps
About two years ago someone from this forum directed me to a shop in Dallas Texas who carried an extensive line of wall maps. My nephew would like a map 'just like the one' I ordered for my son - but alas, I have moved since then and discarded all records of the shop name and phone number. Any help?
Thank you

What type of maps do you want? I have one of Europe hanging on the wall over my computer that I bought from National Geographic. It's about 2'x3'. Here's the address:

You can also try maps.com
Found the post - Bob Brown recommended www.onemapplace.com in Dallas.

You might find a better offer here in London, at Stanfords. If you go into http://www.stanfords.co.uk/, then World, then choose a format you will see what the offer. You can order online. Postage seems to be about 10 pounds.

just a heads up - National Geographic has their Atlas of the World on sale for $125 (normally $150 - and no, Amazon is selling it for $150) - very detailed maps of the entire world plus gobs and gobs of geogrpahical information like tectonics, flags, etc

1jan1, I apologize for jumping on your thread, but I too love maps and would be interested if anyone knew of a reliable place to find various metro maps - the London Tube, Paris Metro, etc. I love these - not only are they quite arty and striking (Mondrian? Le Witt?) but they remind me of great times and trips. I'm still kicking myself for not buying the framed Tube map at the Tate modern, but it was too big to haul back on the plane!
