Will Everyone Please Stop....

Please stop asking intelligent travel questions. They seriously detract from the useless off-topic questions.

As one of the most prolific and pompous self-appointed "appraisers" of questions and requests, I ordain this initial post concise, cogent and to the point. Which, I, often, am not (parenthetically speaking, of course). <BR> <BR>Wishing I was not obsessively, compulsively driven to offer... <BR> <BR>Best wishes... <BR> <BR>Rex <BR>

I am SO MAD at all of you for wasting my time with all these silly posts! HOW DARE YOU interfere with my busy life in this irresponsible, selfish, inconsiderate manner?! Instead of my being able to wax lyrical on my trip to the Chick's Terrine or whatever they call those old towns with not a decent burger to be had, you make me respond to these dumb, dumb topics. Shame on all of you!

As in... I can't believe how many people come out here with no prior internet-speak experience... LOL! <BR> <BR>also believed by some to mean <BR> <BR>Lots of Laughter <BR>or even <BR>Lots of Love <BR> <BR>but the "-ing"... form makes the most sense; in particular it fits best with the cousin expression ROFL <BR> <BR>Rolling on Floor, Laughing <BR> <BR>and its ROFL-issimo cousin ROFLMAO <BR>

Stick your head in the sand, Dirk. You'll miss a lot of what's going on but you want get your sensibilities hurt. Be safe!

LOL also means "laughing out loud". Take your pick, they're all in the ball park and convey your meaning.

LOL may be used frequently in English speaking countries, but I doubt about France, Germany, Italy, Spain, etc. <BR> <BR>I did not know it myself for some time and was thinking of <BR> <BR>"Love it Or Leave it...." <BR> <BR>PS: Could also be applied to this thread. <BR> <BR>

LOL has always been used in my business(law enforcement) to mean Lot's of Luck. Meaning its not going to happen or "fat chance". I didn't know of the "internet meaning".
