who's going to Italy in 2005 may..?

I noticed there was a post at the top of the list from the may that already happened this year, so I thought I'd start a new board for this COMING may...or even April and June. Just how about all the spring months! haha..I'll be there March 17th- June 8th...what about YOU?

hunnym Oct 28th, 2004 03:22 PM

We are! May 2-14.

And I'm addicted to this board - everyone's already been so helpful.

Carmen Oct 28th, 2004 03:25 PM

We're there! June 8-21.

In Sicily 19 May - 3 June, then home to Salem, Oregon.

bobthenavigator Oct 28th, 2004 06:17 PM

Yes--yes !
Sicily for 15 days--to include Taormina, Siracusa, Agrigento, Palermo, and more. We leave 27 April.

uhoh_busted Oct 28th, 2004 06:23 PM

We usually travel in May -- this year we have no plans YET. I'm sort of thinking Bali and Singapore and Thailand...but we LOVE Italy, and if a "good deal" suddenly appeared, I think we'd grab it. SO maybe we'll be there this year :)

kismetchimera Oct 28th, 2004 06:34 PM

May 29th till June 11th Italy, then Villefranche Sur Mer, Provence and Paris..
June 25th Au Revoir Europe, Howdy Texas..

artlover Oct 28th, 2004 09:15 PM

We are...details not finalized yet, but so far plan is
May 5-8--(Seattle)--Amsterdam
May 8-15--Venice
May 15-18--Siena
May 18-25--Spain
May 26--Amsterdam--Seattle

Sometime April-May. As part of a two month travel until I run out of money.

Maybe three weeks. Going el-budgeto.

ssachida Oct 28th, 2004 10:20 PM

ok, ok, I know I shouldn't be posting on this thread, but couldn't resist the gloat ... I leave in 19 hrs !!
Seriously though, I had so much fun planning that I'm a little afraid that the trip itself will be an anticlimax. God! it better not be.

Bringing Mom (who has survived brush with Cancer) to the Vatican, along with my Niece. After having read "A Thousand Days in Venice", I want a picture of the three generations coming over a venetion bridge in complementary outfits. :-]

dorkforcemom Oct 31st, 2004 03:09 PM

We leave April 30 (AA frequent flyer miles) into Rome departing from Milan on May 8. Tuscany & Bellagio this trip...I plan and mull over it daily!
Lisa

kismetchimera Oct 31st, 2004 03:25 PM

Thats great DAJ, your Mom is going to love Rome..Do you have a general audience with the Pope?

You gave me an excellent idea about taking a picture on the bridge in Venice.
I am going to Venice with my daughter and Brooke, my 12 years grandaughter..3 generations also..

alm0stbeautiful Nov 1st, 2004 12:35 PM

wow...everybody's vacations sound AWESOME!
sbp17~you're so lucky you live there. What city?

clevelandbrown Nov 1st, 2004 12:56 PM

We've penciled in a week in Rome, a week in Florence, then a week in Switzerland, probably in mid-May.

youngrandma Nov 1st, 2004 01:18 PM

I have been planning a trip to Italy to take my two college age nieces who have never been out of the US. About a month ago, my aunt and her daughter decided to join us. So, DAJ, we will be three generations too - 5 women from age 19 to 72. Cannot wait.
We have the beginning of a plan, thanks to all your good advice, and are now looking for reasonable airfare from Boston.
Our plan, taking the train in between cities:
Rome, June 6-10, Hotel Santa Maria.
Florence, June 10-15, Residenza Il Villino.
Venice, June 15-19, La Calcina.
Any further advice is always appreciated. Thank you.

TarheelsInNj Nov 2nd, 2004 10:27 AM
