It seems that numerous "Fodorites" will be visiting Croatia this September, which is ony a month away. But exactly how many of us and who and where.

I'll be visiting Trogir, Vis, Hvar and the Makarska Riviera from the 8th to the 24th. ( And while I do have a Fodor's pin I'm not wearing it with my Etro ensembles )

My plans to Croatia are the following:
Dubrovnik - 7 nights ( including day trips to Korcula, Bosnia and Montenegro)
Split - 2 nights ( day trip to Hvar)
Trogir - 1 nights
Zagreb - 1 night
Ljubljana - 3 nights
Trieste - 2 nights
I leave on 9/17, arrive in the morning on 9/18.

My plans (Sept 1- 17) :
fly into Zagreb, spend the night there
2 nights Plitvice Lakes
4 nights Istria (Rovinj) with day trips to Porec, Pula, Motovun
3 nights Hvar
5 nights Dubrovnik, with day trips to Montenegro and maybe Peljesac peninsula

I am going to Croatia in September - yippee!

Arrive Sept 3, Zagreb I HOPE - have a 65 min connection at CDG, so may not arrive til late if I miss the first flight on the day from Paris to Zagreb

Sept 4-8 Fly to Dubrovnik, stay 4 nights

Sept 8-11 Drive to Hvar Town via the Drevnik-Sucaraj ferry and the white knuckle drive of death along the full east/west length of the island.

Sept 11, fly to Rome and spend a week on the Sorrentine peninsula.

I have been to Croatia before, but not to Dubrovnik, but that will be remedied in late August/early September, when I fly into Sarajevo (Bosnia & H.) and overland to Lake Ohrid (Macedonia), with a two-day stop in Dubrovnik.

You know a place is getting popular when Frommers and Fodors jump on the bandwagon -- they are the followers in the guide industry.

dubrovnik from sept. 4 to 7
hvar from sept. 7 to 9
split from sept. 9 to 11

My husband and I are going Sept 19-Oct 2!

We'll be staying in Dubrovnik 7 nights with day trips to Mljet, Kayaking to Lokrum, day trip to Lupad or Kolocep. Possibly to Peljesac peninsula also.
We're off to Korcula for 3 nights and Cavtat for 2 nights.

We can't wait....

Not quite September, but I'll be in Istria the 1st and 2rd of October, Dubrovnik the 3rd to the 6th, and a last night in Zagreb on the 7th.

How are you planning to visit the Peljesac peninsula? Organized tour? Self drive? I would love a self drive, but we drop the car when we get in Dubrovnik, not sure if we want to go through the process of renting another one for a day…

Itinerary help...a group of us are flying into Dubrovnik 8/28 and flying out 9/5. Our original plan was to go to Split, stay for a night and take a ferry to Hvar and stay for a few days, island hop and return to Dubrovnik the day before we fly out. Any ideas for fastest mode of transportation and/or changes to our itinerary to get a good "feel" for the area and get back to Dubrovnik the day before we fly out? Thanks! PS Yes, I know, we wait until the last minute to plan!

Wow, there are a lot of people going in September. And we'll be there with you!

Sept 10 - 15 Dubrovnik with day trips to Mljet, Lokrum, Montenegro
Sept 15 - 20 Drive from Dubrovnik to Hvar via Drevnik-Sucaraj ferry and the "white knuckle drive of death" (very funny HappyCheeseHead) to Hvar town.
Sept 20 - one night in Cavtat before we fly to London for one night there before our flight home (Toronto)

How are you getting to Dub from Toronto? I'm leaving from Montreal to London(Thomas Cooke Air) to Ljubljana (EasyJet).Back from Dub to London(B.A.)& home (T.Cooke).
