Where to meet up in Heathrow

Two girlfriends and I are going to London for a short trip. Two of us are flying from JFK to Terminal 3 and another Terminal 2. We plan on taking the tube to Totteham station. Should we all meet at the tube entrance? Not sure how big it is. Or should we all meet up at one of the terminals? We leave this evening, we all assumed we would be flying into the same terminal.
Thanks so much

Are you all staying at the same hotel? If so, I would meet up there. Just like you were surprised by the news that your terminals have switched, you could be suprised that one of your flights is delayed for hours. It sounds like you won't have cell phones. Since you'll all be jet lagged, getting someplace where you can rest, shower, be conveniently near a restroom and an comfortable chair, and not be in an abraisive busy environment, hovering over your luggage, might be the nicer way to greet each other after the long trip.

We will all have cellphones and we are staying at the same apartment in Central London. I would like to try and take the tube together.
thanks

Those terminals use the same tube station. Best park in the nearest cafe in one terminal arrivals area or the other and rely on your phones to make contact and fix a meeting point.

From what you are saying, I'm guessing your flat is somewhere near Tottenham Court Road, not Tottenham the suburb in north London (you won't do yourselves any favours by shortening the names of streets and stations, it can cause serious confusions). If I've guessed right, be aware that Central Line trains are not stopping at Tottenham Court Road because of works at the station. You might need to look at walking from another station nearby, maybe Holborn or Goodge St.

Thanks so much for information and the tip. Yes, it is Tottenham Court Road. I read it is possible to walk between the terminals.

thanks again

How close in time are the two flights due in?

T2 and T3 are walking distance from each other so it is feasible for the first arrive-ees to walk to the other and wait outside arrivals in the 2nd terminal. I've done that very thing. But if one flight is delayed you won't be able to contact each other til everyone is on the ground . . .

Is the flat available for you to check in at the time (or more accurately - about 2 or 2.5 hours after you land? If so -- the easiest, best option is to meet at the flat. The first arriving can get there, get checked in and wait for the other(s) to arrive.

But IF the flat isn't open til later you are sort of stuck waiting at LHR.

And definitely clarify if you are near Tottenham Court Road. Totally different place. The construction at Tottenham Court Road is an issue and whether to get off at Holborn, or to change at Leicester Sq to the Northern line and using Tottenham Court Rd or Goodge street depends on exactly where the flat is . . . Unless it really IS near Tottenham (Hale) station (sure hope it isn't)

Thanks for the additional information. Our apt. will not be available to us until 2pm, but we will be able to drop off our bags at 11:30. So we will probably wait for our friend. thanks again
