Where is the best Paris apartment you have rented? (and why)

I'm looking for a Paris apartment rental for 4 nights in February. I always stay in the Marais, but am open to suggestion. Importantly I like an apartment that is street facing for people watching. Thanks.

It's very difficult to find rentals for less than a week. You may have to concentrate on finding any that will rent for 4 nights. I'd do a web search and start checking all the sites that offer rentals and narrow down those who will rent for a few nights.

We rented an apartment on Ile Saint Louis from Guest Apartment Services (I think the website is guestapartment.com...or maybe guestapartmentservices.com?) for one week last Christmas. It was on a very quiet street, although I believe they have a number of properties.

What was good about it? It was absolutely beautiful--definitely a luxury property. We also loved the location and they were very professional and helpful (they made dinner reservations for us, etc.).

It wasn't cheap, however. Would I rent from them again? Most definitely.

I have rented in the past from rentparis for as little as 3 nights. I could rent from them again, but wondered what others experiences were.

Parisperfect.com. We stayed in Cabarnet but for a week. I'm not sure if they rent for under a week. Wouldn't hurt to check. What we loved about it was the wonderful furnishings, the view of the Eifel Tower, the french balcony, the neighborhood, the fact that we could do our laundry. we could sit and have coffee or wine while we looked at the eifel tower. We loved that it was walking distance to wonderful markets, Metro, there wasn't anything that we didn't like about it. It was fabulous. we have sent others there and they have loved it. Madelyn and Philipe are wonderful to deal with.

I rented a studio for 8 days from Pascal Zytomirski. I have posted about Pascal many times on this board and on AOL. Others have also rented from him and endorse my high opinion of him. In fact, I don't know of one person that ever said anything negative about him who had actually rented from him.

The "hitch" is that I doubt you can rent an apartment for less than 7 nights. Most owners rent in one week units. For 4 nights you may need to stay in a hotel.

Pascal's email is [email protected]

An owner--and Pascal is an agent for owners--might consider a shorter rental if it were for off season and/or he was desperate due to lack of tourism.

And someone could always rent for 7 and leave after 4 nights, if they don't mind the extra cost and really want an apartment.
