Aloha, Being from Hawaii I get asked all the time "Where do people in Hawaii go on vacation?" Well, this will be my first trip anywhere. I will be going to Germany in October for 2 weeks and will see Munich, Bonn, Fussen and mostly the southern area of Germany. Any must see places in Southern Germany?

Landor, I'd love a home exchange in Australia or New Zealand. How about the fall of 2008?

I'm going to London, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France and I can not wait! My twin sister is my traveling companion and we always have a blast together. Does anyone know about bringing/sending wine back from Italy?

I'm drooling just reading this thread!
I don't get nearly enough vacation time at work!

March-Hawaii
October -Rome & Amalfi Coast
New Years-Paris

And I'm already working on 2008!

We're considering doing 6 weeks in Europe in late spring/early summer. No hard plans yet.

Sending my daughter to Japan in March for a week, so that doesn't really count, since I can't go.

Wow, you guys are inspiring! I particularly related to the post asking, "Are you all retired?" More like, how do you accumulate the time and money for these extended and frequent travels? It's awesome to see so much diversity in adventure and living fully by experiencing "other".

As for me and mine, our plans to date include 10 days in Belgium/Amsterdam in early Spring, and long weekends in NYC and Orlando visiting children. Hopefully those are just the starters!
